Now that you have visited the Newspaper Research Academy Main Page, you know that there are Free and Premium Resources, as well as a ton of Subscription-only Research Guides and On-Demand Webinars. This may expand to additional categories of resources in the future, and each of those two categories will expand over time.
What this means is that a subscription to the Academy includes all new resources added, whether it be two weeks from the time you subscribe, 6 months, or 10 months.
As of August 8, 2025 (at launch), there are 35 Research Guides and On-Demand Webinars total.
A purchase of a subscription is for one year. There will be a renewal fee at a reduced price.
So what exactly do you get with an annual subscription ot the Newspaper Research Academy?
- All Resource Guides that are currently available and added for one year
- All On-Demand Webinars that are currently available and added for one year
- Use of The Ancestor Hunt website with no ads
What does an annual subscription to the Newspaper Research Academy cost?
- The initial cost for one year is $47.99
- The cost to renew for an additional year is $19.99
When you subscribe, I will receive an automatic email with at least your email address (and sometimes your name). You will receive (generally within 24 hours) an email from me acknowledging your purchase, and instructions on where to log in, plus the URL of the webpage that contains access to all the Subscriber-only resources. Only subscribers to the Academy will be able to access the Subscriber Resources page.
Other things to know:
- All resources available for subscribers are 100% original. I didn’t copy anything from anyone. I have been researching online newspapers for over 15 years.
- Some of the lists were aided by AI prompts, but reviewed and edited by me (and sometimes discarded).
- Should you cancel your subscription at any time, that is fine, but refunds are not provided.
- As a subscriber, you are agreeing to the personal use of the resources that are provided only to subscribers. You are not allowed to share PDFs, videos, or any other subscriber-only resources with anyone.
Below you will see 4 types of Subscriptions. The Platinum, Gold, and Silver plans are part of the Premium program for The Ancestor Hunt. To purchase an Academy subscription, just select “Academy.” Only the Academy subscription has access to the Academy resources.
